What should I wear to class?

Bellydance: Wear light, comfortable, workout wear - leggings, crop top or t-shirt. We dance barefeet, however, ballet-type of slipper is acceptable. Ballet-type of slipper is acceptable. Please no jeans. Skirts and hipscarves are optional for intermediate/advanced students.
 
Indian dance: Light, comfortable workout wear. We dance barefoot, so please don’t expect to wear socks or shoes in class. Salwaar-Kamiz (Indian shirt and pajama pants) are optional.  In certain workshops, a skirt and knee pads are required.

How much are the classes?

Prices will range from $10 - $15 per class, depending on the studio. Class packages are available. .

When can I start?

All classes are on going, so you can start anytime!

Do I need to register?
 
In most cases, you will only need to fill out a simple registration form, which can be done the day you come to your first class.

Do the twins teach the classes?
 
One of us teach the classes, unless we are out of town or performing. If we are unable to teach any given class, a professional substitute instructor will teach that day instead.

Is there a minimum age requirement to take the classes?

Minimum age is 12, and there is no maximum age! Students under 18, parent or guardian supervision is required.

How long does it take to learn the dances?
 
Of course it varies with each student, but most learn many movements in a short time, because of our style of teaching

What can I expect in each class?

Bellydance: Movements include basic arm positions, lower body movements, traveling steps, basic rhythms and choreography.
 
Int/Adv Bellydance: More advanced movements, choreography, and rhythms. Also, technique in finger cymbals, veils, cane, and sword. For professionals and semi-professionals.
 
Cardio Bellydance: Improve posture, muscle tone, and increase heart rate while learning bellydance movements. Look sexy and lose weight!

Bollywood:  This dance is HOT! Learn the latest Bollywood dance moves while burning those calories! Open to both men and women.

Indi-Hop:
A GREAT cardio workout for men and women. You’ll learn the latest bhangra moves while burning those calories! This dance is very popular with Kundalini yogis and martial artists. Be ready to sweat!.

Dances of India: Various styles (including classical, folkloric, and Bollywood) of Dances of India, including technique, history, and demonstration.

Bolly trance dance: A hatha-based yoga dance done Bollywood style!.

Private: This is your time to work on that specific dance move, technique, or choreography. (Please warm-up before each lesson).
